ABOUT
The Kootenay Rockies ATV club was established in 2012 by local enthusiasts and is an affiliate of ATVBC
The Kootenay Rockies ATV Club is out enjoying the trails from early spring until late fall on our wheeled machines, depending upon trail and weather conditions. Once the snow conditions are suitable, we have some riders with tracked machines that enjoy winter riding. Our rides are mainly in the East Kootenay, with occasional trips outside our area to affiliate club events such as Jamborees, Poker Runs and ATVBC events.
We have riders of various skill levels, from very experienced to new riders riding quads and side by sides. There is a good mix of ages, lots of couples and families, and lone riders. You are welcome to join us for a ride to see if you enjoy the comradeship of riding with our club. After the initial ride, if you wish to continue joining us, we kindly ask you to purchase a club membership through ATVBC, specifying Kootenay Rockies ATV club as your affiliate club.
The club organizes trail rides, trail maintenance rides, Jamborees, and poker runs. We expect all machine operators and riders to follow our club, road, safety, environmental and Covid protocols.
Rides are usually scheduled for the weekend, (conditions permitting) with the occasional midweek ride. Participation in our trail maintenance work parties is highly encouraged; lots of hands make short work of maintaining our trails.
